# Register Your Discover Card for Online Account Access

> Set up online access for your Discover card. Enter your card details, verify your identity, and create a User ID and password to manage your account.

If you have a Discover credit card but have not yet set up online access, registering takes just a few minutes. Once registered, you can view statements, make payments, set up alerts, and manage your rewards from any device.

**1. Go to the registration page**

Visit [**https://www.discover.com**](https://www.discover.com) and click **Register Your Account** near the login area. Alternatively, go directly to the credit card registration flow. The exact label may vary slightly.

**2. Enter your card information**

Provide details from your Discover card, such as your card number, expiration date, and possibly the last four digits of your Social Security number. This helps Discover confirm your identity. Have your physical card ready.

**3. Verify your identity**

Follow the on-screen prompts to verify your identity. This may include answering security questions, confirming a code sent to your phone or email, or both. The exact steps may vary.

**4. Create your User ID**

Choose a User ID you will use each time you log in. Pick something memorable but not easy for others to guess. Avoid using your full name or card number.

**5. Create your password**

Create a strong password that meets Discover's requirements. A good password is long, unique, and mixes letters, numbers, and symbols.

**6. Set up security questions (if prompted)**

Select and answer security questions. Choose answers that are easy for you to remember but hard for others to find online.

**7. Review and submit**

Review your information, accept any terms, and submit the form. You should see a confirmation message when registration is complete.

**8. Log in for the first time**

Return to the login page and enter your new User ID and password to confirm everything works.

| Use a passphrase you can remember | Share your password with anyone |
